We provide a unquie educational experience for children of all ages in an environment where they can learn about farm animals, the natural environment and Newcastle's rich heritage.

What's Growing?
- in the Spring, in the Summer or Autumn
We will explore the farm and the valley for plants and animals that are growing and spot seasonal differences. Activities can include: animals from birth to adult, chicken/rabbit/guinea-pig focus, seed sowing, use of identification keys, go and touch activity for stems, leaves, flowers. |

The Grain Chain
1/2 or full day visit
Follow a grain of wheat on its journey from seed to bread. Activities include: planting wheat seeds, milling wheat, dissecting wheat ear, exploring meadow, cereal sorting sctivity, making dough and baking bread. |

Going Green
1/2 or full day visit
Discover how Ouseburn Farm reduces, re-uses and recycles. Investigate how people managed domestic waste disposal in the past. Activities can include: green building tour, composting activities, litter survey, rubbish monster, art activities - make a bird scarer for the vegetable plots or design a poster for littering, what's in your lunch box in terms of packaging and food miles. |
